The Poetry of Brian Langley
As well writing poetry, I am also a volunteer with the
Western Australian Fisheries Department whose motto is:
Fish for the Future
Fish for the future, the message is clear,
If we don’t, then some fishes will soon
disappear.
Take heed of the rules, size limits and
gear
And we’ll always have fish for the
future.
The rules are decided with one thought
in mind;
Its “fish for the future”, if not we’ll
soon find
That many will go, there’ll be few left
behind
And there’ll be no more fish for the
future.
Read the whole seven verses in my
booklet "Driving in the Outback"
